“Internationalisation and Economic Policy” considers internationalisation dynamics and the international economic integration with respect to globalisation and its effects on firms, NGOs and policy actors. Economic topics as well as legal issues will be integrated; the combination with Econometrics gives a sound basis for standard and advanced analysis. Students will learn about empirical analysis and analyse important institutional aspects – including those of the digital knowledge economy.

Professors, researchers and representatives from major international organisations (e.g. from Brussels / European Commission, Frankfurt / European Central Bank, Bonn / BNetzA, Hamburg / GIGA – German Institute of Global and Area Studies, New York / Columbia University) from the staff of these courses which emphasise active learning approaches in small groups. Internet-based teaching is also available – as is a help line for foreign students.

Excursions to the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Central Bank are included and may become part of your studies.
