Exams

  • 90 minutes written exams in each module is the standard
  • exams will be offered in both the summer term and the winter term
  • the ECTS scheme (European Standard) is applied

 

Degree

The degree obtained is Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Administration and Economics. This degree indicates that learning about qualitative and quantitative methods is crucial. The basic elements of Business Administration and Economics are linked within solid knowledge about modern methods of analysis. As regards teaching contents we emphasize that students learn about recent research findings.

 

Rules for Examinations (summary)

All examination participants are expected to follow some rules and procedures:

  • The official language is German.
  • Please note only the examination rules that are stated in the information paper No. 05/08 published by the examination board are legally binding.
  • Any student in breach of these examination room rules will be reported.
  • Breaches of the rules, such as proved 'cheating' may lead to penalties and exclusion from the examination.
  • After the announcements of the invigilator, there must be no communication between students in writing, speech or gestures.
  • All personal belongings must be deposited in an area indicated by the invigilators.
  • You will only be allowed equipment that is required for the examination on your desk.
  • You must place a student ID as well as a photo ID on your desk. The invigilators will use these as evidence of identity to complete the attendance register.
  • It is strictly forbidden to carry a mobile phone with you.
  • You are only allowed to use the provided examination paper.
  • Please mark each paper with your name, your matriculation number and the number of your seat. The first page has to be signed.
  • At the end of the exam you have to return all handed out examination papers and also the all draft papers.
  • You may only leave the examination room after sixty minutes of the examination period, or after the complete 90 minutes of the examination period.
  • After the examination has begun, you cannot withdraw from the examination due to illness unless you inform the invigilators and go and see a doctor straightaway. The doctor has to certify that you got ill during the examination or that you could not have known of this medical condition prior to the exam. This medical certificate has to be handed in at the examination office immediately.
  • Students that take part in an examination and know that they are ill forfeit their right of withdrawal from the examination.
